Am using PHP5 and think that might be the cause of most of my issues.
When doing IP address Log, I get this.... -- ibdilbert- Date/Time: 03 2008: host |grep Namehttp://name-1b34262270/upb/index.php:--------------------------------Next Person This might be a php5 issue too, the forum works well in firefox, but doesn't load in IE, not an issue for me or the members of my forum as they are all required to have firefox anyhow, just wanted to let you know I was having that issue incase it comes up again. I did manage to get the security picture to work after some help on the forum. Any way to configure it so when a person registers, an administrator has the final right to make them a member who can post to avoid people making multiple logins using multiple emails causing issues? Also any way to make levels, so you can have a select group of people who can read/write in one forum topic, but another select set of people who can't see that forum topic? Other than the above minor details, I am REALLY impressed with this app! Nice job!!!!! This is better than any forum I have ever used or installed to be all honest! Thank you! |

Hi ibdilbert,
The issue with the IP Address Log is it's not using global variables like $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']. If you are PHP savvy, this can be fixed by editing the last portion in index.php, to reference the correct variable, otherwise, look foward to the next release (Btw I thought I already fixed this!) Your next issue is wanting to control registered users. While there isn't anyway to do this yet, nor is there plan to, I will certainly add it to the TODO list. Your next issue is talking about different user groups and permissions to different forums. This is in our plans! In fact in our next major revision, we have been working to implement this into the core of UPB. Unfortunately, this is not slated for the next release, and I cannot say when this will be pushed into a public release. I hope this answers your questions, and I sorry we couldn't be more accommodating. Look forward to the next revision which will be soon! --Jerroyd Moore
